Soon after the iPad launched, I headed up an effort at the Vancouver Elsie Roy elementary school to bring in iPads into the classroom. My donation was matched by the community - resulting in 30 iPads for the school. The first in British Columbia. It made front page news.
My intention was to create a bit a competition between schools. Not only did it bring the latest technology into the hands of students, it started a wave of iPad adoption in the Fraser Valley. Last time I checked, there were well over 100 iPads in Elsie Roy and many schools followed suite.
